To Sleep or Not To Sleep

Thursday, August 13, 2009

An hour ago, I told my mum I'm calling it a night aka m gonna sleep but look at me now, an hour later, still in front of my lappy and God knows doing what! Haha! I know what m doing but then, I don't have to post everything here, am I right?! haha! Anyway, now it's raining outside and I said to myself, "kalau tidur, siuk nie" hehe and that's what m planning to do...now! haha!

Geeezz! tis internet thingy is so addictive

2nd week of Friday and WORKING!

Ok! It's not exactly working. But waking up early on a Friday, attending a seminar from 7.45am - 11.45am and continue again at 2pm - 4pm, fewwwhh...I would consider that equivalent to working!

Tomorrow, I have to wake up early just b'cause m the choosen few to attend the Quality Customer Care Service seminar! One of the pharmacists said it would be fun coz there would be a role play. Hahaha! And my partner in crime said that due to the role play we are gonna play, better I don't do my fasting tomorrow coz he, working beside me for the last 2 years knows exactly what pisses me of (when dealing with irritating, impatience patient). Luckily, he not the choosen few hence I can breathe easily that he won't be able to piss me off tomorrow. But, when I think about it, better I skip my fasting tomorrow coz I don't think I can handle all the gossips, all the role play without getting involved! haha! f you get what I mean!

The Result....

....of the KKC Convention would be announced somewhere in September before or during the Hari Perkhidmatan Awam. That's the conclusion I can give you for the final day of the convention - day 3!

For once, I came early...hehe! That's because the function starts at 8.30am and somehow I overlook the time (I thought it started at 8am!) hence I came before 8am! hehe! Semangat aku ah! The director of IPA gave a speech, the head of the judge gave a speech and then, it's over! That's the end of the convention!

We had our refreshment and the guys from Audit said, "We'll see each other again in September" Haha! Anyway, I didn't come in to the office coz I had to fetch my nieces from Nusa Laila that lunch time.

I managed to do some shopping (for my nieces), came home, changed clothes, fetched my nieces, send them to their home and went to the office! It was a hot hot day and considering that it had been almost 2 weeks I didn't do any exercise, that afternoon, afterwork, I went for my usual hike!

KKC Convention

Tuesday, August 11, 2009
Day 1

It's the opening of the KKC convention and all participating groups and members had to be there. Considering that I had to send my bro to the 6th form centre and the KKC opening ceremny won't be due till 8.30ish am, I decided to go to the office first. By 7.30am, I started to get out of the office, predicting that I would arrive in IPA around 7.45 - 7.50am. It's not that far from OSP to Rimba. But, in Menglait, I got caught in a RTA (road traffic accident). And gosh! all my eta gone with the wind. Collisions of 3 cars - a Toyota Camry (an older version, i think?), a Mitsubishi van and a Vitara. I hope there was no casualties eventhough I saw an ambulance racing thru' the massive traffic jam. I arrived in IPA around 8am and quickly parked my car.

Members were supposed to register between 7.45-8am but I registered at 8.05am and my director, who was standing in the foyer, looked at me and said that the rest of the members were already seated inside. Okayyyyy! Anyway, I forget to bring my camera so no pix from the opening ceremony. Our minister is the GoH (is that a sign??) haha! We stayed thru the morning session and by 11.30am, it was over and we left.

By the time we came out of the building, the weather was sssoooo hot! I barely couldn't stand it. Air-con to the max, window blinds all over then I headed home. Yes...home! I went home! At least I can wash my hazy-infected face and freshen up a bit before heading back to work. And no, we didn't attend the afternoon session coz well, lets just say that we are short of staffs at the moment hence can't take all the pleasure of KKC (haha...as if!!)

Day 2

I was a nervous wreck since morning! Today afternoon was our presentation. The whole morning, we didn't go to the IPA, just to avoid from all the jitters and competitive vibes. Hehe! By 1.30pm, with Ummi driving, we went to IPA and again, the weather was sooooo hot! I was sweating by the time we arrived in IPA - nervous + sweat combined! Hehe!

We were seated 3 rows from the front and our director and some senior officers came to support us. Thanx you guys! You are the best! Kweng kweng kweng! haha! Behind us were the members from Audit who would be presenting after us. Somehow, we got along very well with them mainly because our facilitator used to judge them and furthermore, durg bawa kami mengumpat. Oh yes!!! The group are consisting of 4 men and a lady and boy, don't those 2 men know how to gossip!! Haha! Sapa cakap men don't know to gossip?? Haha!

Our presentation? Hmmm...I don't know what to say. I avoided any eye contact with all the audience. I know! I shoudn't have but m so nervous! Eventhough I took 'something' (hehe!), still the nervousness was there! I think we managed to catch the audience attention mainly b'coz we were the 1st team presentating that afternoon.

By 3.30pm, everything was done and over with and we had our refreshment. Again, with the guys from Audit, the room was havoc! Haha! Suara durg saja kedangaran..hehe! Came back to the clinic coz we were having a CPSS meeting. Oh yea! I forgot my camera again (duh!) haha but Ka Jah Sophie brought hers so I will just ask from her. But these 2 pix were taken in the clinic while we were wrapping up our meeting..hehe!

Taken with Aizam's HP

Mok and me - taken with my hp

Oh yea! Before anyone asked this. While waiting for our turn to present, we took pix, just saja-saja pix from our seats and one of my male colleagues, took a look at the pix and said, "eh, Sugi, nampak lampuh kau dsini ah (in the camera screen)". I'm not offended and I replied him, "Aku andang jua lampuh" Haha! So, anyone out there, yes, m getting chubby! End of discussion and no question about my chubbiness...hehe

G.I.Joe - The Rise of Cobra

Sunday, August 9, 2009
My second day of fasting and so far so good! InsyaAllah, I can finish my overdue fasting somewhere by next week! Yeay! then I would be out of guilt...hehe! This afternoon, just to kill my time and my hunger, me and the 3 boys (my brothers) went to watch G.I.JOE - The Rise of Cobra at Empire cinema! It was packed and we managed to sit at row G! Well, at least it ain't that bad compared to the rest of the people who sat further infront of us! hehe!

The story? Well, for someone (like me) who likes the action cartoon, there's nothing more to say! I LOVE G.I.Joe! Hehe! and the movie is a good way to end the week. I think they would be a sequeal to this movie and I can't hardly wait! I thought Ana (the character) is played by Demi Moore coz she looks like her but it is not. I didn't expect her to be Sienner Miller but she's good! And don't you just love women who can kick men's asses?? Haha! I DO!!!

................. part II

Friday, August 7, 2009
Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it lasts .
We should stop making ou
r lives complicated.

Life is short

Break the rules
forgive quickly

love truly

laugh constantly

And never stop smiling
no matter how strange life is
Life is not always the party we expected to be
but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful.

..............

'Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
So love the
people who treat you right,
Forget about the ones who don't,
And believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, take it.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy,
They just promised it would be worth living'

3 Working Fridays!

August! So many events happening in August! And apart from the islamic events, my August is not something I would like to remember! Haha! It's just a week into August and already I don't like August. Bit too judgemental, don't you think? Well, I got my own reasons. One of the reasons is that I would be working 3 out of the 4 fridays of this August.

Considering that we have to do a presentation to the director and the senior officers tomorrow morning (KKC-thingy), me and 3 of my teammates agreed to meet up this morning to do the KKC-thingy. Well, from morning berlarutan to the afternoon and we only finished it around 5PM! YUCK! What a day?! M not feeling that great yet but I can't be to clingy and manja, ryte? It would only make me even more weak and furthermore, I got no one to manja to (long story!).

So, cross off 1 friday for me. Next week would be more hectic. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday would be spent in IPA, KKC-thingy! Then next friday, I have to attend a customer care course! URGH! And the 3rd week of friday, I have to work. It would be a long public holiday and I have to work until 11PM! Hmmm....but I bet it won't be that buzy. InsyaAllah. At least I can do and settle some of my works. And m dreading for next week. My blood results would be out somewhere next week and 80% part of me don't want to know the results coz I don't think it would be that good! M too young to take a long-term medications! I don't want to!!

Oh well! Today, I decided to start a new leaf in my life! InsyaAllah, I try to be strong! Brand new day, brand new start! I can do this! My appetite is back so m eating well again and m eating more tonight coz m planning to start my fasting tomorrow. I think it would be a good day to start fasting. At least it would make me less mad, less angry, less moody and less everything...hehe! And m trying to be a patience person...insyaAllah!

Moments of Weakness

Thursday, August 6, 2009
Everyone has their own moment of weakness. Mine would be the last 2 day. It is, I have to say, the greatest moment of weakness of my life. Once in awhile there are people who will dissapoint you in these life and somehow you just have to move on with your life.

I never thought that I would experience that feelings but I did and boy! what a lot of problem it had caused me. I only slept for 2 hours, woke up the whole morning, went to work, having gastric and terrible headache, took an emergency half day off, slept the whole afternoon and woke up with a fever!! Went to the clinic, it was damned hectic but luckily some colleagues helped me out. The doctor said my pulse was a bit rapid, did an ECG and slightly abnormal. He asked me to take blood for further test. Gave me a sleeping pills and a mc for today. Yikes! I don't want to rely on drugs to make me sleep and Alhamdulilah, last night I managed to sleep without the pills.

This morning, I took my blood. I don't like taking blood....I hate the needles but what's need to be done, have to be done! Went to Hua Ho TB. I was supposed to buy Lampuh's food but then I got distracted and ended up buying so many things minus Lampuh's food! Dad called, brought me out for lunch and after lunch, I went and cut my hair!! I love my hair but sometimes, wen m not thinking straight, I did something that I would regret! Which I am now!

Anyway, now m ready to move on! 1 thing I know is that, you will get dissapointed in life, maybe once and maybe more, but what you have to do is to move on, live your life without no regrets! During my moment of weakness, m not ashamed to cry to my bff! That's what bff is for, ryte??

To whoever it might concern, thanx for being in my life, even for a short while. I never thought you could touch a soft side of me but you did and from now on, no more! I forgave you not because I forget what it is all about, but because deep down, I know you r a great guy and I think you are just confused. It's been a pleasure knowing you!

Chance

Tuesday, August 4, 2009
Once in someone's lifetime, you will get 1 chance or several chances to make life right. But how many of us really take the chance for what it's worth?

Panic! Panic!

I came home today and my youngest brother, Muiz told me that they bought cloth for cara melayu today and when I ask them, what colour, he said "BLUE". What?? I don't have baju baru blue for raya!!!

Initially, I couldn't be bothered to make new baju for raya this year coz well, along this year alone, I made a dozen of new baju. So, I was thinking not to make and rush myself this year for new baju. But then....blue? Gezz!! I have to visit my tailor tomorrow or before the week is out anyway!

And can you believe it, raya is less than 2 months away? wow! or should I said "what"?!!! I think m gonna panic now coz I haven't pay my fasting yet! waaaaa....need to get started on it soon...insyaAllah!

Jerebu O Jerebu!

1 of the reasons for you to put on ur mask! It's hazy outthere! Yesterday, there is a fire in KB and as one of my colleagues said, "be prepared to see ur cars covered with ashes" or something like that! And yes, eventhough m not living and parking my car in KB, still my car was covered with ashes this morning but it ain't that bad! The air smelt of something burning (haha!) and Alhamdulilah, I don't have any respiratory problem. I pity whoever have asthma and so on. With the air and weather like this, I somehow can feel their suffering (hmmm...). Even me sometimes couldn't stand wearing a mask 8 hours a day so once m out of the clinic, off with the mask too! I just couldn't stand it. But if this haze situation getting worst, I guess I have no choice but to wear it most of the times. Man! Terbantut exercise macam ani eh!

The Proposal

2 words - LOVE IT! Oh yea, just incase you guys don't know what the heck m talking about, m talking about the movie, not me being proposed! Haha! That would be funny or....weird, I think! Anyway, I love the movie!

I have to say Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds is the best couple so far this year! The movie is awesome. It's a combination of everything - it's funny, it's sad, it's emotional, it's romantic and the place - do they really shot the film in Alaska? The surrounding looks like Alaska but hey, I never been to Alaska or USA, so I might be wrong.

There are so many scenes in this movie that I like. 1 funny part that made me smile just by remembering it is this guy, Ramon(e). In that small town of Sitka (if I remembered it correctly), Ramon(e) is a bartender, a stripper and a priest! LOL! I don't know if Sitka is short of men or the production
crews are short of cast but it's hilarious! I like to think Sitka is short of men...hehe! There are many more and I can't wait to watch it again! I would give this movie 8/10! The storyline is good, the cast, feewwhhh, remarkable! And the scenery, breathtaking beautiful! Watch it f you like the romantic stuffs! *wink*

Hot, Buzy Weekend

Woke up early (kindda) in the morning coz I need to run some errands before going out with my bff. I had to take some drugs from RIPASH. It was a hot morning. Arrived at RIPASH around 10am, chit chat with the colleagues and then went straight home coz my bff was about to fetch me around 11am.

Came home and managed to eat a quickie breakfast of roti canai (ceh! standard malay g tu!). and around 11ish, my bff fetched me. We had our lunch and brunch - me and my bff respectively - at WYWY in Sengkurong. Then we went to the Empire to watch The Proposal (my review coming up). By 2.15pm, we came out of the cinema and me, got not destination to head to, so my bff decided to go to Best Eastern, to get the next Greg's Diary aka The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. For once, I managed to control myself not to buy any books considering that as of today, I got 5 unread books and 3 unfinished ones! I know! M horrible! M reading 3 books at the same period of time. But ntah ah, lately I just couldn't concentrate reading 1 book without being distracted! (Distracted by new book..hehe). M a very impatient person. Well, I guess who knows me, knows that..hehe.

Anyway, after done with some window shopping, we decided to call it a day and I came home around 4ish pm. Once I came home, Dad asked me to run some errands - to buy hand sanitizers for the department (his department!). So me and my bro Faiz went to Hua Ho Tg Bunut and bought 41 bottles of hand sanitizers and a guy passed us buy and said, "eh! bnr2 jua". I didn't reply to that coz I didn't know he was talking to me. My mind was somewhere between counting the bottles and calculating the cost. Hehehe! We stopped by at Guardian to buy some necessities. Came home just before Maghrib. Fewwhhh! What a weekend!

The night? Hmmm..I couldn't remember what I was doing. But I do remember watching Scrubs season 3! Hehe!

3 New Alaf 21 Novels

Monday, August 3, 2009
Dad went to Miri last Firday with 3 of his colleagues. Truth to be told, I only go to Miri for their Guardian and Watson; do some shopping mainly for contact lenses + the solutions, books, perfumes and Aussino! God! I love Aussino! And can you imagine how much cheaper it is to buy Aussino bedsheets in Miri rather than here in Brunei?

Anyway, I asked my dad to buy me Alaf 21 books. I listed down 5 novels and he managed to buy 3 of them. Well, 3 out of 5 ain't that bad! Hehehe! He managed to buy me:

Ucapkan Kau Rindu - Murni Aqila

Sanjungan Kasih - Aimi Husna

Bila Ada Rindu - Emma Maizura

With the additional of these 3 novels, now I officially have 150 malay novels in my collection! Yay!! *hehe..iski*

Don't waste the good weather

Friday, July 31, 2009
Definition of good weather here is where the sun is shining bla bla bla aka not raining. With unpredictable weather here in Brunei, I had been missing a lot of exercise. Well, I couldn't blame on the weather 100% though coz 80% is because m just plain lazy! But now m getting 'bigger' (tummy-wise) and I need to cut down on my tummy fats for certain occasions (which planned to be next year!).

Yesterday afternoon, the weather is a bit cloudy, no sign of the sun and afterwork, I forced myself to join my male bff and a friend to hike at Tasek. Almost 2 weeks not hiking, m slow! Slow sehabis-habisnya! Urrrghhh! Boreng eh! But I got sporting hike partners. They waited for me..hehe!

This morning, I went for a jog and a brisk-walking around JP. M not an early bird (unlike my bff - she woke up so early, I don't know how!). So, for me waking up early during public holiday is a very rare rare occasion. I only wake up early if I got something to do! Went with my 2 brothers and my mum coz dad is going to Miri with his colleagues.

I don't know whether m up tis afternoon. My hiking partners bring me to Shahbandar, Bkt 17! Done with bkt 17 once and m looking forward to do it again but hmmm....we'll c whether m fit tis afternoon....

All Time Favourite!

I am grateful for both my male and female bffs. I am a big fan of Lucy Maud Montgomery and I have to say I love the Anne of Green Gables novels. To tell the truth, Anne of Green Gables in my first novel that I read when I started take interest in reading and i had been a wondeful read. It kept me going to the bookstore more often and spent my dad's money on books (hehe! I was a kid back then, no money leh!).

Now, you were thinking what my bffs got to do with this considering that I didn't know both of them back then when I started reading LCM's novels! Well, I was trying to look for the Anne of Green Gables videos, DVDs all these years, even when I was in Singapore but couldn't find it. Trust me, it's that hard to find. I was thinking to buy online but then my male bff offered to download it for me from the net. Yippppiiieee! Hehehe! It took him around 2-3 weeks to download the whole 4 DVDs! When he's done, all the clips were separated. 1 clip runs for more or less 30 minutes. Then my female bff saw it and because she is sooooooooo good (hehe) at this computer, program stuffs, she managed to combine all into 1 movie. Now, you know how m grateful to both of them! Thanx all!

So, now I got Anne of Green Gables which runs for 3hr 15 mins, Anne of Green Gables - the Sequel which runs for 3hr 40 mins and Anne of Green Gables - The Continuing Story which runs for 2hr 57 mins! Last weekend, I did all Anne of Green Gables marathon which took me nearly 10 hours! Few years back, I only managed to watch until the sequel. I know that they made another movie of Anne but never got the chance to watch it (the reason trying so hard to find the video). And now, m a very happy bunny (figure of speech) coz Anne finally get married to Gilbert; Gilbert went to the war and all those happy ending stuffs.

Watching these movies made me miss reading the novels so last night I took the liberty to open one of the novels - Anne of the Island! I don't know why but of all the Anne's life, this book I like the most. Maybe because in this book, Anne is no longer a small child but a grown up woman. I missed 2 of Anne's books though - Anne's House of Dream and Rainbow Valley. I surfed the net this morning to download these 2 books but then, my female bff offered to download it for me in pdf form. M8! you know how grateful I am with what you did for me! Love ya! Hehe!

So, now my Anne of Green Gables are complete. I got all the 8 novels (6 hard copy while 2 soft copy) and 3 movies of Anne! It is definitly my all time favourite reading!
