Tekken

Friday, July 30, 2010

I'm not a big fan of Tekken (the game) but growing up with 5 brothers, I got little choice in choosing what movie to watch.
So last night, after the Consumer Fair which was held in Bridex Hall, Jerudong, we came home to drop off Mum and Dad, then we went straight to Kiulap Mall to watch Tekken - the movie!
It was packed! The parking lots and the cinema area itself!
It took me 7 rounds before I gave up searching for parking and parked far, far away!
Luckily Bro Andy bought the tickets earlier in the morning, so we got the upper seats and wow! it was fully filled down till the last few rows!

The movie? Hmmm...it was okay! Brutal as any action movies go! But it doesn't meet up my expectation...
M not gonna spoil the game fanatics out there, so watch it yourself and judge for yourself ;)

Around the Bridex Hall in 120 minutes

Last night, me and my family went to the Bridex Hall in Jerudong for the Consumer Fair.
It is open to the public from yesterday (29th July) till this coming Sunday (1st August).
I never been to the Bridex Hall before (yea! ketinggalan) and considering we went at night, I can't capture the scenery but everyone told me it's beautiful!
Bridex Hall is located just near the sea, along the Jerudong Beach and the building...wow! Magnificent!
Well, I'm gonna go there again soon and hopefully this time it would be during the day ;)

Inside one of the halls (there are 2), among the stalls and all, there is this section "Around the World in 60 Minutes" in which inside, we can take pictures of the most famous landmarks around the world.
My camera battery died after 2 shots so Dad had to use his HP camera to shoot all his children's photos...
and trust me, it's not an easy task for my Dad considering that all his children got so many actions..hehe! LOL!

The eyes and the soul

Friday, July 23, 2010
Is it true? The part that 'the eyes are the window to the soul'?

What happen to blind people? U can't see their eyes, does that means they have no souls?

And not all normal people with good, healthy visions have souls. They can be cruel and evil. So I guess these people have the dark souls or soul-less.

People always say, to know the truth from someone, look them in the eyes. My questions are would you get the truth by looking into someone's eyes? and how do you know that person doesn't deceive you? don't eyes ever lie?

Battle of the Ferraries

My brother, Andy just bought a new lappy today. His first choice is a Dell lappy but I don't know what made he changed his mind.

In the end, he bought an Acer Ferrari One! Cool considering that I bought an Acer Ferrari 3 years back and have been using ever since...

The black 1 on the left is mine and the red one is Andy's

Andy's Acer Ferrari One with Window 7

My Acer Ferrari with Window Vista

Andy's Ferrari is slimer and lighter than mine.
I bargained with him for us to exchange laptops but he refused. LOL!

So far, so good

Ramadhan is coming soon - less than 3 weeks to go.
As a female muslim, I started to 'pay back' my fasting - the one that I missed last Ramadhan.

Today would be second day of fasting and so far, Alhamdullilah, everything went well.
And InsyaAllah, I might be continuing my fasting up till the Ramadhan month itself ;)

To any muslim out there who is also fasting as I am,
happy fasting people!
May our deeds be accepted by the Almighty! Amin!

Currently reading....

.... Siti Rosmizah's Lafazkan Kalimah Cintamu.

So far, this novel has 2 record breaking record (for me anyway):

1.This would be another thick novel I had read (after Kasih Pun Bersatu) and by far, this is the thickest Malay novel currently I'm having.

2. This is the one and only novel that makes me cry after just reading the first 10 pages!!! Seriously! I'm not kidding you.

I was just getting comfortable laying on my bed, getting start to read and without realising it, I cried on page no 7! And I was saying to myself, how the heck am gonna read the rest of the 803 pages of the novel? Am I gonna cry all the way till the end?

Oh... well, let's just say that currently I'm on page 388 and so far, I cried few times. I will write the review once I finish reading this novel but I gotta say, if you thinking of buying it, buy it! Don't wait for my review.

My Weekend... Around the Capital ;)

On our way to Tamu Kianggeh this morning to buy some local foods and fruits, I managed to snap some pictures around the capital.

And with little persuasion to our driver (my dad..LOL!), he agreed to bring us to Bumbungan 12 (Roof 12) which is located just opposite of the Water Village.

Bumbungan 12 is one of the historical sites in Brunei. It is a house actually, used by the first British Resident back in the 1906 - MSH McArthur. Now, it is just a museum exhibits the archive of the relations between Brunei and the United Kingdom.

The view of the Water Village from Bumbungan 12

The gate leading to Bumbungan 12 was opened but somehow no one was around and I think it's close. I didn't dare to venture inside more further coz honestly the place is quiet eerie...

Below are pictures of the Water Village I managed to snap from faraway.
Dad (who likes to educate us with knowledges) promised us that he will take us a tour around the Water Village one day... yay!

And finally, the landmark of Brunei capital
The Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque
(and yes, the dome is covered in pure gold)

Congratulation to....

Thursday, July 15, 2010

... my classmates and good friends, Erawaty and Hj Saipul on the birth of their third child and first baby boy today - 15 July 2010.

FYI, His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei's birthday is today and Era is the first woman in Brunei to give birth on His Majesty's birthday.

I was on the road when Era messaged me informing me of the good news and asked me to watch the telly. But considering that I'm on the road, I had to settle with listening to the radio!

Once again, congralts babe!

Dreams

Dreams - it's like a common nature associated with sleep.

Some people take it seriously, some people don't saying that dreams are just playful visions during sleeping (mainan tidur).

Personally, I don't take dreams too seriously but sometimes I just couldn't help it. It's like a deja' vu. 1 night I dreamt about something, I forgot about it the next morning and few weeks after that, I experienced something and said to myself, "Hey, I had been here and done this before." Weird? I know and I believe I'm not the only one experiencing this things.

For the past few weeks, I had been experiencing scary and weird dreams. Last week alone, every night I dreamt about death. Told you it's scary!

Am I afraid of dying? Not really. I mean, I'm not ready to die just yet but the thoughts don't scare me as it should be.

What trigger my dreams? I definitly have no idea. In our culture, if you having bad dreams, do not tell a soul about it but I'm not that supersticious, so here I am bearing my bad dreams to the whole world.. haha.

My weird dream? Hmmm.. I think I'm just gonna let that 1 go. Coz for this dream, I think it was just a playful vision of my sleep.. haha *in denial* Whatever my dream might be, it was just too weird...

Recently Watched

Last Wednesday night, me and Bro Faiz went to the Qlap Cineplex to watch another of the Twilight Saga, Eclipse.
I' not a big fan of the Twilight movies (yes! I'm serious!). I don't scream whenever Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner came on screen nor I droll all over them... LOL!
The movie? Hmmm.. I like the first one (the first is always the best!), the second one - New Moon, I haven't watch it yet (seriously!) and it is stored in my lappy since last year... haha! and this 3rd one, not bad.. but will it ever ends? The movie, I mean. I'm tired of anticipating what's happening next...

I watched Predators yesterday with my BFF. It was our 12th anniversary ;)
I heard a very good review about this movie and I was hoping not to be disappointed but at the end of the movie, I guess I am... disappointed, that is!
Is this movie got anything to do with Alien vs Predators?
Coz the predators look the same in here.
Oh well.....
