The Paradise of The Amazing Race

Tuesday, March 30, 2010
From France, teams went to the Seychelles island; one of the islands in the Indian Ocean and in my list, it would be one of the paradise islands I would like to go... one day!

Anyway, I have to say what a lucky teams these people are. I mean, Germany - France - Seychelles!! That's all my dream destinations! I think if I'm joining this race, I would definitly end up losing! Haha! Go figures!

Okay, back to the race! All the teams were in the same flight from France to Seychelles. And Brent and Caite managed to get the front seat in the flight and were one of the three teams to get the helicopter ride to the island of La Digue. While the second batch of the teams were off 1 hour later.

Time to catch up and the detectives, who were in the second helicopter ride managed to change their race position. Too bad for my favourite, the cowboy brothers. They made a mistake by leaving behind the map of their pit stop hence they have to swim back to their boat to retrieve it.

Oh well, that's the race for you but I'm not giving up yet! Why? Haha!

I 'cheat' and somehow I know they managed to get back up on the top :P

Earth Hour

Saturday, March 27, 2010
Tonight, starting 8.30pm till 9.30pm, for those of us who cares about the environment, me included, would be switching off everything I can, well, apart from my HP (I'm still oncall!).

Loving the nature and our world, I couldn't help but to participate in this Earth Hour ritual.

My contributions might be small, but it does make a difference, even a tiny weeny bit!

Together, we can make a difference to our future ;)

Another Fallen Idol

Friday, March 26, 2010
Yup, it came as no surprise the result of last night Idol. Paige Miles, who had been doing soooo poorly for the last couple of weeks is finally going home and the rest 10 contestants would be going for the Summer Tour!

Tim Urban in my opinion should also be going home but then, for this time, he's safe! But I can say this, if he doesn't perform well, he might be the next Idol going...

'The Week'

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

'The week' here is a reference to my oncall week. For 1 whole week, I am out from my usual workplace; for the whole 7 days, I am working for 7.5 hours (morning till afternoon) and my handphone is on 24 hours, 7 day straight in case there is any calls.

Do I like being on call? Haha... This is a trick question and I'm not gonna give the easy answer. Well, no one I know like to be the on call person. For me, I don't mind doing it (this would be only my second on call so far), it gives me the experiences I need in handling emergency situations. But the down side being on call is that it's tiring and disrupt my sleeping pattern.

My first day on call itself last Monday was drop dead tiring. From my hp step counter, the amount of steps I walk last Monday is equivalent to the amount of steps I took during my regular hiking. Yikes! That's tiring. By the time I came home, my feet were aching. My sprain was not heel completely and it just getting worse. I asked my brother to do foot massage for me... hehe! Bless him!

Not only that, I was only at home for an hour when I got my first call! Not a good start! I had to go back to the hospital. I was drop dead tired so my brother offered to drive for me... Gosh! You gotta love my brothers! And they love their only sister too! Haha!

I don't sleep 'nicely' as I normally did during the 'normal' times. I constantly checking my hp, just in case there is any calls I missed so you can say that I'm sleep 'irregularly'.

Tomorrow would be Thursday and for me, 4 more days to go before everything back to normal. But it would only be for a while. Next month roster is out and I have a duty on a public holiday AND end of April, I would be working the A and E duty. People go home and rest, I would go to work for 7 nights non-stop.

What a life!

Stuffs to catch up with

First up would be The Amazing Race 16.

Last Monday night, Jeff and Jordan were out of the race when they came last at the pit stop.

The detectives - Louie and Michael - came in first again; Carol and Brandy came in second; Steve and Allison came in third; Jet and Cord at fourth; Jordan and Daniel at fifth and the last team surviving in the race was Brent and Caite.

With only 6 teams remaining, I already decided which is my favourite team. I have to say it's Jet and Cord. For me, this team and the detectives might just be one of the winners. Both teams are calm and from what I can see, they are just minding their own business.

So, I'm sticking with Jet and Cord. No offence detectives! Hehe...
I might be wrong but hey, it's the amazing race afterall... anything could happen!

Next would be the American Idol...

Tonight, after the elimination of Lacey Brown, the remaining 11 contestants of the American Idol Season 9 took the stage with the Billboard Number 1 hits. Gosh! I didn't know that the Billboard chart is 116 years old! That freaking old!

Anyway, some contestants are good and I have to say I'm kindda disappointed with most of them. And I have to agree with the judges, it's always the choice of the songs.

Who in my prediction would be eliminated tomorrow?

Hmm... tough one! But in my honest opinion, it would be either Paige Miles, Tim Urban or Andrew Garcia. I might regret typing this but here goes the truth.. One of the favourite contestants, Didi Benami might just be one in the danger zone too. I truly hope she doesn't get eliminated and hope the votes for her is pouring but... I don't know!

Real 911 Calls!

Dispatcher : 911. What is your emergency?
Caller : Someone broke into my house and took a bite out of my ham and cheese sandwich.

Dispatcher : Excuse me?
Caller : I made a ham and cheese sandwich and left it on the kitchen table and when I came back from the bathroom, someone had taken a bite out of it.

Dispatcher : Was anything else taken?
Caller: No, but this has happened to me before and I'm sick and tired of it!

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Dispatcher : 911. What is the nature of your emergency?
Caller : I'm trying to reach nine eleven but my phone doesn't have an eleven in it.

One Afternoon....

Sunday, March 21, 2010
Yesterday afternoon, afterwork, while I was warming up my car before going home... this is what I saw. Kindda scary coz monkeys can be quiet aggressive so I'm just recording this from inside my car..

P.s. the background music is from my car stereo ;)

My Friday...

Friday, March 19, 2010
I was buzy the whole day today - both work and pleasure.

In the morning, I had to wake up early coz I got a duty in the hospital. And so does this Sunday and the whole week next week. We finished around 12.30pm and after quiet a while didn't eat any chicken (I couldn't bear to eat chicken since my entry on fast foods), today I was craving for the fatty chicken. Stopped by the Express Fastfood, bought my chicken and shake then went home.

By 1.45pm, me and my parents went to the banks! Gosh, this new financial regulation here in Brunei is basically killing the fun! So, I settled some of the credit cards stuffs and by 4pm, we fetched my brother from Meraggang. Alang-alang we went to Muara, my used-to-be hometown, we went to the Serasa beach and Muara beach.

Growing up 15 years of my life in that hometown, I kindda missed the beaches. I feel like a little kid again. I used to jog and walk along the beach and gosh, I missed that. This afternoon, me and my 2 brothers played with the water a bit and we made planned to do some minor swimming soon... But I won't tell when and which beach. Haha! I don't fancy people seeing me wet with salt water.

Me and High Heels

I couldn't believe I'm posting this and in a way embarrassing myself but hey, it's my blog, what the heck!

I'm a constant wearer of high heels. I got all types and gosh, hard to believe it, but I can walk on even the smallest high heels ever. At 5ft 4, honestly I don't need much heels to 'help' me out but I like to wear them nevertheless.

And all these time, I never ever sprain my ankles due to my high heels. I always sprain my ankles when I was wearing a trainer and do hikings. I lost counts how many time I sprained my ankles when I was climbing the rough hills. But yesterday, that record is broken. For the first time ever since I bought my Charles and Keith maroon flower strapy high heels (that was 4 years ago), I sprained my ankle, in the parking lot!

I was having a meeting after work and as I climbed down the car, I lost my footings and that's it. I was momentarily frozen due to the pain in my ankle and the bruises on my knee. But I had to endure all the pains and continued walking in my high heels to reach the meeting venue.

Anyone saw me? Thank God no one was around.. hehehe
!

Would that made me to stop wear any high heels? Heck no! I got 50+ pairs of shoes, 60% of them are high heels, what am I gonna do with them if I don't wear it no more? No sprain ankle, no pain can make me stop wearing heels! No pain, no gain ;)

An Idol Gone...

The verdict was in last night and from the bottom 3 contestants - Lacey, Paige and Tim - it was Lacey who was voted out. She sang 'The Story', the song that she performed 2 weeks back for the judges to judge whether to save her from the elimination or not.

The 'safe' word can only be used once in this whole AI competition and with this being the first performances of the top 12 contestants, well, let's just say that Lacey's chances were not that high.

Crystal Bowersox, the favourite Idol so far however need to watch her back coz Siobhan Magnus might just beat her in winning the Idol. Gosh, she has that nagging voice I must say but I'm still sticking with my first 3 favourite Idols - Crystal, Didi and Big Mike ;)

Congratulation to....

Wednesday, March 17, 2010
...my collegemate, Insyirah on her wedding last Sunday.

Me and my bff went all the way to Bukit Udal in Tutong to attend her wedding! On the way there, it was raining and I told my bff to pray very hard so that it doesn't rain at her place considering I was driving. I think she - my bff - did so coz it didn't rain at her area. It was hot and I'm sweating! My dress doesn't help much either and I was fanning myself like crazy. Luckily their souvernir is a fan coz I didn't bring any.

Again, congratulation to Insyirah and Mahdi on their wedding! So, one got married, 3 left to go - me, my bff and a male friend!

Next would be my bff's wedding... Hehehe!

Catching up with....

The American Idol Season 9

I know I'm way left behind with my updates on the AI but here it goes.

The top 12 contestants were announced last Friday and unfortunately, I was working so I asked my 2 brothers to watch the elimination episode for me. So, the 4 contestants that went home last week are Kathleen, Todrick, Alex and Lily. Honestly, I was disappointed to hear Todrick and Lily were out. I mean, they are good!

(All pictures were taken from American Idol official website)

Anyway, tonight the top 12 contestants performed. In honor of The Rolling Stones, the contestants were singing The Rolling Stones' songs. I'm not a fan of the rock band but the performances were great - or as Ellen said, "Guh-ret."

Couldn't wait for the results tomorrow night although I'm have every faith that none of my favourites would be eliminated tonight.. Such ego... Haha!

The Amazing Race 16

Okay, with the Amazing Race, I'm wayyyy behind.

Last week, all the teams were in Hamburg, Germany. I love Germany! And a new 'rule' was implemented where a team had to work with another team. The task: Bungee-jumping! Wah! Always the one thing I wanted to do in this lifetime of mine but never have the guts to do it for the fear that all my limbs would disloged from each other and resulted in me paralysed!

Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, the bungee-jumping task! Up till this moment, I'm still amazed how the cowboy brothers managed to keep their cowboy hats on even when doing the bungee-jumping! True cowboys, I have to say.

The detectives came in first in this leg of the race followed by the father/daughter team. While Jordan and Jeff were the last one to arrive. It was none elimination leg hence they were staying.

Last Monday, due to exhaustion, I fell asleep and missed the next episode. Got no time to watch it online so I had to catch the rerun last Tuesday night (although I surf the web and found out which team was eliminated before that). Cheeky! I know!

France! What's there no to like in France? Apart from the French language though. I did learn a bit of French while I was in college few years back but I'm suck in it that I quit studying it.. Haha!

The re-invent of the World War 1 (or was is WW 2?). Whichever it is, it was soooo cool - the re-invention not the war. On their way from Germany to France, the detectives kindda pissed off with Joe (the guy I don't like). And now I know why I don't like him - he is too over-confident. Confidence is good but too much of it, yikes, it's irritating.

Anyway, the detectives who were leading did the Blind U-turn on the couple and caused them to get eliminated as Joe and Heidi couldn't complete the task. Okay, it's true don't like Joe but he got that competitive spirit and to se him get eliminated this way is sooo unkind! I mean, interpreting Morse code, who could do that? I couldn't!

7 teams remaining, who would be eliminated next.....

The Story - Lacey Brown AI 9

Not really a big fan of Lacey Brown but I must admit, she sang this song soooo nice that I couldn't resist but to post it here. Enjoy!

My Secrets? My Tips?

The Annual Pharmacy Gathering (APG) is coming up soon - 11th April to be exact - and this year theme would be the Masquered Ball. And now, everyone is busy thinking what to wear - both in a dress and in a mask.

For me, I'm still deciding whether I want to go or not. Well, at the moment, 70% is not going while the other 30% is going.

Why I don't want to go? It sure to be fun!

My reason for not going:
1.I don't have any suitable dress to wear.
2. I don't have any mask to put on.

I guess those 2 reasons are strong enough for not going, right?

Anyway, for the past 2 years, I went. And for the past 2 years, I won the best dressed female. Haha! Unbelievable but true! Third time a charm? Well, I'm not hoping for much although I know some people wished I won't be going this year so I won't get the award for 3 years running...haha!

I was working with a junior colleague yesterday. She's young, fashionable and vibrant. Soft but full of life! So she asked me what's my secret of winning the award every year? I was like, "What? My secret? I don't have any secrets of winning anything." Of course, she didn't believe me so she asked me whether there are any tips for her to win it (the best dressed female award)?

Honestly, I don't have any secrets nor any tips on me on how to dress nicely. But when I said that, people just don't believe me. They thought that I just don't want to tell. Well, I got nothing to hide. For me, I just dress 'normally'. Nothing extraordinary about the way I dress.

I always say that, dress doesn't make a person beautiful. The person makes the dress she wears beautiful. Everything comes from the inner self. Just be who you are. Dress nicely and whenever you don a dress, don't think of winning or impressing people, wear it with a sincere heart and confidence.

Remember: When you feel beautiful inside, no matter what dress you are wearing, you are beautiful ;)

Aku Mahu Kamu

Title: Aku Mahu Kamu
Author: Aleya Aneesa
No. of Pages: 498 pages
Publisher: Alaf 21 Sdn Bhd

For the first time ever, eversince I discover my passion for reading, Aleya Aneesa's Aku Mahu Kamu is the first novel that I couldn't continue to read. Why? Because it's too depressing!

Don't get me wrong. The storyline is amazing but too much tragedies in it that I couldn't flip the pages and continue reading without crying. I was a quarter into this 498-page novel and already I shed tears more compared to 2 Alaf 21 novels. Gosh! I'm a softie!

Ziyad and Qisya met in an unusual place and time but love at first sight, that's it for Ziyad. Qisya who just broken off from a long relationship didn't believe in love no more until Ziyad proved otherwise.

They got married, living happily with the birth of their son, Faiq Fallah. Faiq died in an accident in their residence's swimming pool at the age of 1+ years old and Ziyad who loved his son soooo very much took it badly and placed all the blames on Qisya for falling asleep while their son was in the pool.

The happy couple no longer happy until Qisya couldn't take it no more. With Ziyad's silent treatment and his permission, Qisya went to live with her parents. She found out she was pregnant with their second child. She tried to tell Ziyad but Ziyad never answered her phone calls.

44 days after Firyal Ibtisam was born, Qisya left her daughter to Ziyad, in a way to 'pay him back' for Faiq's death. 3 years went by when Qisya couldn't be away any longer. She missed her daughter terribly. She came back to see her daughter but everything is not as it seems.

What that suppose to mean? Well, I'm not gonna spill it all here. The only way for an avid reader to get the satisfaction from reading a book is to actually read it.

Read it! Cry yourself out! I did! Hehe... Enjoy!

Didi Benami Strikes Back!

Thursday, March 11, 2010
I'm a fan of Didi Benami but I have to honestly say that her last 2 performances didn't really reach out to me. I mean, I am not voting but it just didn't work out.

BUT her last night performance on American Idol is superb! I think she is in the brink of elimination and she comes back! Yay! You go girl!!

Some things are better kept secrets

Sunday, March 7, 2010
Oh..m talking about another joke I got from The Office Inbox JokeBook (page 193).

Australian Radio

Just imagine sitting in traffic on your way to work and hearing this.

Many Sydney folks DID hear this on the FOX FM morning show in Sydney. The DJs play a game where they award winners great prizes.

The game is called Mate Match. The DJs call someone at work and ask if they are married or seriously involved with someone. If the contestant answers, "Yes," he or she is then asked three random yet highly personal questions.

The person is also asked to divulge the name of their partner (with phone number) for verification. If their partner answers those same three questions correctly, they both win the prize. One particular game, however, several months ago made the City of Big Shoulders drop to its knees with laughter and is possiblly thr funniest thing I've heard yet.

DJ: Hey, this is Ed on FOX FM. Have you ever heard of Mate Match?
Contestant: (laughing) Yes, I have.

DJ: Great! Then you know we're giving away a trip to the Gold Coast if you win. What is your name? First only please.
Contestant: Brian

DJ: Brian, are you married or what?
Brian: Yes

DJ: Yes? Does that mean you're married or you're what?
Brian: (laughing nervously) Yes, I am married.

DJ: Thank you. Now, what is your wife's name? First only please.
Brian: Sara.

DJ: Is Sara at work, Brian?
Brian: She is gonna kill me.

DJ: Stay with me here, Brian. Is she at work?
Brian: (laughing) Yes, she's at work.

DJ: Okay, first question - when was the last time you had sex?
Brian: She is gonna kill me.

DJ: Brian! Stay with me here.
Brian: About 8 o'clock this morning.

DJ: 'Atta boy, Brian.
Brian: (laughing sheepishly) Well.....

DJ: Question 2 - How long did it last?
Brian: About 10 minutes.

DJ: Wow! You really want that trip, huh? No one would ever have said that if a trip wasn't at stake.
Brian: Yeah, that trip sure would be nice.

DJ: Okay, final question. Where did you have sex at 8 o'clock this morning?
Brian: (laughing hard) I, ummmm, I, well....

DJ: This sounds good, Brian. Where was it at?
Brian: Not that it was all that great, but her Mum is staying with us for a couple of weeks....

DJ: Uh huh...
Brian: ....and the Mother-in-law was in the shower at the time.

DJ: 'Atta boy, Brian.
Brian: On the kitchen table.

DJ: Not that great?? This is more adventure than the previous hundred times I've done it. Okay folks, I will put Brian on hold, get this wife's work number and call her up. You listen to this.

---Three minutes of commercials----

DJ: Okay folks, let's call Sarah, shall we?
(touch tones...ringing...)

Clerk: Kinkos

DJ: Hey. is Sarah around there somewhere?
Clerk: This is she.

DJ: Sarah, this is Ed with FOX FM. We are live on the air right now and I've been talking with Brian for a couple of hours now.
Sarah: (laughing) A couple of hours?

DJ: Well, a while now. He is on the line with us. Brian knows not to give any answers away or you'll lose. Sooooo.... do you know the rules of Mate Match?
Sarah: No.

DJ: Good.
Brian: (laughing)
Sarah: (laughing) Brian, what the hell are you up to?
Brian: (laughing) Just answer his questions honestly, okay? Be completely honest.

DJ: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sure. Now, I will ask you three questions, Sarah. If your answers match Brian's answers, then the both of you will be off to the Gold Coast for 5 days on us.
Sara: (laughing) Yes.

DJ: Alright. When did you last have sex, Sarah?
Sarah: Oh God, Brian... uh, this morning before Brian went to work.

DJ: What time?
Sarah: Around 8 this morning.

DJ: Very good. Next question. How long did it last?
Sarah: 12, 15 minutes maybe.

DJ: Hmmmmm. That's close enough. I am sure she is trying to protect his manhood. We've got 1 last question, Sarah. You are 1 question away from a trip to the Gold Coast. Are you ready?
Sarah: (laughing) Yes.

DJ: Where did you have it?
Sarah: OH MY GOD, BRIAN!! You didn't tell them that, did you?
Brian: Just tell him, honey.

DJ: What is bothering you so much, Sarah?
Sarah: Well.....

DJ: Come on Sarah... where did you have it?
Sarah: Up the arse...

After a long pause, the DJ said: Folks, we need to take station break.

Gosh! Don't I just wish that my morning traffic stuck in the car have so much fun like this..haha! But I couldn't help but to wonder whether Brian and Sarah got the Gold Coast trip? ^_^ They definitly deserve it.

Don't Fart In Bed

Saturday, March 6, 2010
This is one heck of a joke I got from The Office Inbox JokeBook (page 55). Most of you might have read or hear this before but gosh, I can't stop laughing reading it ;)

This is a story about a couple who had been happily married for years. The only action in their marriage, was the husband's habit of farting in bed. Every morning the wife would plead with him to stop ripping them off, because it was making her sick. He told her, he couldn't stop, it was
perfectly natural. She told him to see a doctor as she was concerned that one day he would blow his guts out, because his habit of farting so loudly every morning when he woke up. The noise would wake his wife, and the smell would make her eyes water and gasp for air.

The years went by and he continued to ripe them out! Then one Christmas morning as she was preparing the turkey for Christmas Lunch and he was upstairs sound asleep, she looked at the bowl where she had put the turkey innards, neck, gizzards, liver and all the other spare parts, a malicious thought came to her mind and a smile crept across her lips.

She took the bowl upstairs where the husband was sound asleep and gently pulling back the bed covers, she pulled back the elastic waistband of his boxers and carefully emptied the bowl of turkey guts into his boxers. Some time later she heard her husband waken with his usual trumpeting which followed by a blood curdling scream and the sound of frantic footsteps as he ran to the bathroom. The wife could hardly control herself as she rolled around the floor laughing with tears running down her face. after years of torture she reckoned she had got him back pretty good.

About 20 minutes later her husband came downstairs in his blood stained boxers, he was pale with a look of horror on his face.

She bit her lip and asked, "What is the matter?"

He said, "Honey, you were right all these years, you have been warning me and I didn't listen."

"What do you mean?" asked the wife.

"Well, you always told me that one day I would end up farting my guts out and today it finally happened. But for the grace of God, some Vaseline and these two fingers, I think I got most of them back in."

LOL!!! Hahaha!

I hope that makes up your day...it does to me ;)

Cinta Kepala Batu

Title: Cinta Kepala Batu
Author: Ayu Emelda
No. of Pages: 487 pages
Publisher: Alaf 21 Sdn. Bhd.

I'm now on reading-malay-novels-one-after-another mode. So after Cinta Sejati, now I had finished Cinta Kepala Batu, my second novel of this week.

The meetings between Syaira and Adam were never good. Adam likes to tease Syaira and Syaira is hot-tempered, stubborn and easily offended. And they were always fighting.

When Selina (Syaira's sister) and her husband, Imran (Adam's brother) passed away, Syaira was named as the primary guardian of their 2 daughters, Nicky and Nadia with Adam named as the secondary guardian and it rises conflicts between Syaira and Imran's mother.

To secure his guardianship on his 2 nieces, Adam decided to marry Syaira. Well, it's not getting easy onwards. Let's just say that things got more complicated.

It's really a moving story to read and I managed to shed few tears..hehe!

Currently, I'm reading Aku Mahu Kamu by Aleya Aneesa.

Cinta Sejati

Title: Cinta Sejati

Author: Azra Aryriesa
No. of Pages: 407 pages
Publisher: Buku Prima Sdn. Bhd.

Believe it or not, this is one heck of a book that took me sooooo long to find! I started reading this book's review early last year and for the rest of the year, I had been trying to look for this book but to no vail! I went to almost all the bookstores here in Brunei Muara, Miri and KK. And even when my BFF and then later my dad who went to Kuala Lumpur late last year and early this year respectively couldn't find this book.

But at last, I finally (thank God!) managed to find this book when me and my BFF went to the Brunei Book Fair last 22nd February! And no, I don't think twice to buy this book.

What's so special about this book? Hmmmm....

I would not say it is THAT good but it's definitly worth the read.

Story of Zarif, Zara, Yashmaan and Mia! All are coincidences. Zarif and Zara are two bestfriend since childhood. They went to school together up till their university years. Once they came back to Malaysia, their parents agreed to married them (arranged marriage) but with no love between those two, they decided to live separately.

Yashmaan and Mia used to be a couple until Mia got pregnant. Yashmaan didn't want to be responsible and asked her to abort. Mia refused and she accepted Yashmaan's bestfriend, Adam hand in marriage.

7 years later, Zara worked in Dubai, met with Yashmaan. Zarif lived in Melaka, Malaysia and a neighbor of Mia. Coincidence? Hmmm...most likely!

What happened with these 2 couples? Well, you have to stay up late and read it till the end - just like I did with swollen and puffy eyes the next day! Haha!

Last Week Story

I'm posting about the American Idol..hehe! I know m a week late and the second elimination would be aired tonight but then better late then never, right? Hehe!

As all the American Idol fans out there had known, out of the 24 contestants, 2 girls and 2 guys were sent home last week - Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz and Tyler Grady.

(All pictures are taken from American Idol official website)

I have to say, I was not pleased with some the eliminations. But then, the Americans had voted! If I have my say, Ashley and Joe would definitly still be in the show. I mean, they have it and I can think of some contestants that are more worst than those two.

But I gotta agree with Simon when he said that the girls are leading an inch (or something) than the guys. The girls are loud! Hehe!

Until tonight guys.....but don't expect me to update that soon...hehe!

Time to take a break

Tuesday, March 2, 2010
M physically drop dead exhausted and sleep deprived!

My plan is to take my rest and go to sleep but there are so many things on my mind right now that I can't go and sleep 'peacefully' just yet!
For the last few days, my days and nights were filled to the max! As I mentioned before, the long weekend would be a hectic one and I couldn't be more right.

Last Friday morning, I drove all the way to Muara to help our colleagues to shift all the drugs to the new Muara Health Centre. For a small pharmacy, it took 3 full truckloads to shift all the things and to arrange all those stuffs back...fewwhh! I stayed there till midday. Drove another 30 minutes (average) back home - well, it took me less than that with me speeding - took a shower, rest and then get ready to attend my cousin's nikah. The weather was hot! I basically drenched in sweat. With the weather and the lengthy function, I got a major headaches. Came back home around 5.30pm and m totally drained out.

Saturday, I woke up a bit late and when I finally woke up, it was to babysit my 2 nieces. By afternoon, I gave up babysitting them (horrible aunt!) so I decided to bring them out to the Brunei book fair which was being held in the Indoor Stadium. Suprisingly, they behaved! I bought them some books for them to read and activity book for them to do. Then I sent them home back to their parents...hehe! By the time I arrived home, it's time to get ready for my cousin's berbadak. The function started late hence we finished late too.

By 10pm, me and my 3 brothers left my uncle's place and went straight to the hospital where my popo is still warded. We stayed there till 11.30pm and came home only around midnight.

Sunday, I skipped my cousin's wedding reception considering that m working that afternoon at 2pm till 11pm. And man! what a horrible day! Patients non-stop came and for the first time ever, we closed at 11.15pm! What I meant by ever is that all these time whenever there is a long public holidays where the opening hours is from 2pm till 11pm, usually the last patients would come around 10pm...never reached 11pm! But unlucky for me, 500+ patients up till 11.15pm. By the time I came home, it's almost midnight.

Monday, I was supposed to have my day off considering that I worked the day before. But I kept my day off coz I need to take the off today and tomorrow for my mum's appointment. And what a bad choice it was - me keeping my day off that is. I should just take my day off yesterday. Why? Coz it was crazy! The whole morning and afternoon, it was so buzy! We only have 30 minutes lunchbreak before the afternoon session starts. By the end of the day, I couldn't feel my own fingers no more!

Today, the morning session was okay. Not as hectic as yesterday! I accompanied mum for her ultrasound and visited my popo.

Tomorrow afternoon, it would be the same process all over again - accompanied mum for her another appointment and visit popo.

Thursday, afterwork, we are gonna have a meeting. I haven't decide whether m going or not and Friday, there would be a cleaning campaign in one of the pharmacies.

And next week, all my public holidays duties would start....what a life!

Now, m just finishing all my paperworks that I need to submit tomorrow to the state medical store and I think m just gonna update my blog for now!

When Scrubs is no longer 'scruby'

Yup, the crazy and funny doctors are back. It aired on Star World last night and so far I managed to watch the episodes 1 till 11, thanx to my cousin, Nadia.

But I have to say, eventhough it's still Scrubs but somehow it's no longer the same. The characters JD (Zazh Braff) is no longer the practising doctor (he becomes the professor instead) and after episode 6 (or is it 7?), he is no longer there. Carla is definitly is not in this season and so does the Janitor. Elliot (Sarah Chalke) is married to JD and are expecting their first child and her character is on and off. The hospital itself has changed but in a nice way, I shall say. But gosh! I missed those craziness of the last 8 seasons!

The Scrubs season 9 - the Med School - introduced 3 newcomers - Lucy (Kerry Bishé), Drew (Michael Mosley) and Cole (Dave Franco). Denise (Elize Coupe) who appeared in season 8 (together with Keith) is a permanent cast for this season 9.

I think it's too early for me to judge but let's just say that I laugh less in this Scrubs season 9 compared to the previous 8 seasons and I missed Elliot weird phrases..hehe!

2 Teams Out

It's The Amazing Race 16.

I was supposed to update my blog on the race every week but then I just don't have the time. Anyway, 2 weeks back, we saw the exit of grandmother/granddaughter team - Jody and Shannon and this week, the moms/attorneys team - Monique and Shawne.

It's coming to the 4th week soon and honestly, I still haven't decide who m gonna support in this race. There is no team in this race that really 'get into' me, if you get what I mean? At first, m going for the grandmother/granddaughter team coz geezz, I have a lot of respect for the grandmother! But when they were out on the second week, now m kindda lost.

Jet and Cord - the cowboy brothers, so far doing so good. They managed to come at the first place for the second and third week. But m still wondering how can they race - basically racing - in their jeans, boots and cowboy hats?

Hmmm.....
