Finally.... the artists!

Okay! By now, I think everyone knows who is the winner of the American Idol season 9. BUT just incase you had been out cold for the last 2 weeks (LOL!), Lee DeWyze is the winner.

Did he deserves to win? In my honest opinion, Crystal deserves more to win but hey, it's not me who voted so, I guess it didn't matter that much. Besides, the result was final.

Anyhoo, I was just browsing the net looking for new songs and I checked the Billboard Top 100 and guess who I found? Lee DeWyze! And believe it or not, he has 2 songs in the top 50! And so does Crystal although she only has 1 song in the top 50!

And I was saying to myself, "Geeezzz, these people wasted no time. You just won 2 weeks back and there you are - in the Billboard!"

Anyway, congratulations to both Lee and Crystal! Finally, they can call themselves 'artists'.

Movies and Series Marathon

... it's my way of paying back myself from working so hard for the last few weeks.

After my midnight duty and with my grandma warded, I had less time for myself and when I came back to work.... woissee I was swamped with all the paper works and updating drug usages.

Thankfully, now it's a bit okay. I managed to take a breather; managed to settle most of my work and I pampered myself with watching all those movies and series that I had left behind previously.

The Amazing Race 16 is coming to the end at last in which the brothers, Dan and Jordan won the $1M! Pufff! Lucky guys! I was hoping for the cowboy brothers, Jet and Cord to win but... I guess it's not their luck. But I gotta salute them for being the coolest team in this whole race (or in the whole amazing race seasons). They never shout at each other (apart from words of encouragements) and as they sais, they are the bestest of friends and bestest of brothers! You guys rock!!! Brent and Caite came in 3rd, which is not bad for Caite I guess. At least she proved herself not to be dumb (well, apart from the part she left all their bags and money behind!!)... haha! Gosh! That's harsh!

American Idol; Aaron Kelly got eliminated last week, which is a shame! I kindda like him. So now with Crystal, Big Mike, Casey and Lee, well... I wouldn't be suprised if either Crystal or Lee wins the American Idol this year. So far, both of them never got to the bottom 3 or 2. Big Mike? Yoy! As Randy says, I'm a fan, man! And I am still Big Mike's fan.... and Didi Benami's, no matter what!


The series - Bones, CSI, CSI New York, CSI Miami, Grey's Anatomy, Mercy, NCIS LA - all almost coming to the end of the season. But I still have a long way to go to finish all the series. I got left behind and at the moment I got around 4 episodes from each series that I haven't manage to watch yet!

Movies; ahhh... this is the easiest part. Somehow I managed to watch the movies faster rather than the series. The latest movies I watched would be the:

Iron Man 2

This is one of the movies I'm waiting for. And I guess it's true that the sequeal can never beat the first movie. But with Robert Downey Jr., I can endure anything... LOL!!

Ip Man 2

But this is 1 movie I have to say that just get better and better. If you love watching the first 1, you gotta watch this one. As my friend said, "it's hard to keep your emotion intact while watching this one."

I'm working afternoon till midnight shift this week and I missed the Amazing Race (but I knew the cowboy brothers, Jet and Cord is in the first place and we had to see couple Carol and Brandy go who got eliminated 2 weeks ago in Singapore), the American Idol concert and the American Idol result.

As for the AI result, my brother messaged me who got eliminated. Too bad for Siobhan Magnus and Tim Urban (I know I'm wayyyy too much behind with the updating!) who had to go home this week and last week respectively!

BUT that's not what I regret the most! Rascal Flatts and Lady Antebellum were performing tonight and I missed it! *another big D-A-N-G!* As you might notice in my last post, I'm a fan of Rascal Flatts now and as for Lady Antebellum, I like their song... and I missed booottthhh *moaning sadly*

For this season, I am 'hooked' on American Idol and if you guys don't know this yet, my favourite Idols would be Didi Benami (who was eliminated last week); Crystal Bowersox and Michael Lynch.

Now. talking about Big Mike.. I mean, I gotta say, he has an amazing voice! Killer voice I shall say. And he has been a great performer throughout all the season - so far. And even the judges thought so - well, apart from Simon but then what else is new, right? LOL!

But this week, he is in the bottom of the 9 Idols remaining. And I was saying, "SERIOUSLY?" What the heck?

But the judges are wise in this matter. After Mike performed for the judges, the judges gave him the 'save' word. But next week, 2 of the Idols will be out....

Undeserve to go...

Just finished watching the American Idol and sad to say, one of my favourite idols, Didi Benami is out!

As I mentioned in my previous post, her performance of "What Becomes of the Broken Heart" last night was bad but I didn't expect her to be eliminated tonight.

If you ask me who should go, it would definitly be Tim Urban but as Simon says, no matter what they said, he (Tim) would eventually got the much needed votes and still stay in the competition for another week. How long would he be 'lucky'?

I have to say Andrew's performance last night was superb!

Too bad I can't say the same to my favourite idol, Didi Benami who sang 'What Becomes to the Broken Heart'. I actually like the song but gotta admit, she didn't 'deliver' it that well...

Another Fallen Idol

Yup, it came as no surprise the result of last night Idol. Paige Miles, who had been doing soooo poorly for the last couple of weeks is finally going home and the rest 10 contestants would be going for the Summer Tour!


Tim Urban in my opinion should also be going home but then, for this time, he's safe! But I can say this, if he doesn't perform well, he might be the next Idol going...

Stuffs to catch up with

First up would be The Amazing Race 16.

Last Monday night, Jeff and Jordan were out of the race when they came last at the pit stop.


The detectives - Louie and Michael - came in first again; Carol and Brandy came in second; Steve and Allison came in third; Jet and Cord at fourth; Jordan and Daniel at fifth and the last team surviving in the race was Brent and Caite.

With only 6 teams remaining, I already decided which is my favourite team. I have to say it's Jet and Cord. For me, this team and the detectives might just be one of the winners. Both teams are calm and from what I can see, they are just minding their own business.

So, I'm sticking with Jet and Cord. No offence detectives! Hehe... I might be wrong but hey, it's the amazing race afterall... anything could happen!

Next would be the American Idol...

Tonight, after the elimination of Lacey Brown, the remaining 11 contestants of the American Idol Season 9 took the stage with the Billboard Number 1 hits. Gosh! I didn't know that the Billboard chart is 116 years old! That freaking old!

Anyway, some contestants are good and I have to say I'm kindda disappointed with most of them. And I have to agree with the judges, it's always the choice of the songs.

Who in my prediction would be eliminated tomorrow?

Hmm... tough one! But in my honest opinion, it would be either Paige Miles, Tim Urban or Andrew Garcia. I might regret typing this but here goes the truth.. One of the favourite contestants, Didi Benami might just be one in the danger zone too. I truly hope she doesn't get eliminated and hope the votes for her is pouring but... I don't know!

An Idol Gone...

The verdict was in last night and from the bottom 3 contestants - Lacey, Paige and Tim - it was Lacey who was voted out. She sang 'The Story', the song that she performed 2 weeks back for the judges to judge whether to save her from the elimination or not.


The 'safe' word can only be used once in this whole AI competition and with this being the first performances of the top 12 contestants, well, let's just say that Lacey's chances were not that high.

Crystal Bowersox, the favourite Idol so far however need to watch her back coz Siobhan Magnus might just beat her in winning the Idol. Gosh, she has that nagging voice I must say but I'm still sticking with my first 3 favourite Idols - Crystal, Didi and Big Mike ;)

Catching up with....

The American Idol Season 9

I know I'm way left behind with my updates on the AI but here it goes.

The top 12 contestants were announced last Friday and unfortunately, I was working so I asked my 2 brothers to watch the elimination episode for me. So, the 4 contestants that went home last week are Kathleen, Todrick, Alex and Lily. Honestly, I was disappointed to hear Todrick and Lily were out. I mean, they are good!

Anyway, tonight the top 12 contestants performed. In honor of The Rolling Stones, the contestants were singing The Rolling Stones' songs. I'm not a fan of the rock band but the performances were great - or as Ellen said, "Guh-ret."

Couldn't wait for the results tomorrow night although I'm have every faith that none of my favourites would be eliminated tonight.. Such ego... Haha!

The Amazing Race 16

Okay, with the Amazing Race, I'm wayyyy behind.

Last week, all the teams were in Hamburg, Germany. I love Germany! And a new 'rule' was implemented where a team had to work with another team. The task: Bungee-jumping! Wah! Always the one thing I wanted to do in this lifetime of mine but never have the guts to do it for the fear that all my limbs would disloged from each other and resulted in me paralysed!

Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, the bungee-jumping task! Up till this moment, I'm still amazed how the cowboy brothers managed to keep their cowboy hats on even when doing the bungee-jumping! True cowboys, I have to say.

The detectives came in first in this leg of the race followed by the father/daughter team. While Jordan and Jeff were the last one to arrive. It was none elimination leg hence they were staying.

Last Monday, due to exhaustion, I fell asleep and missed the next episode. Got no time to watch it online so I had to catch the rerun last Tuesday night (although I surf the web and found out which team was eliminated before that). Cheeky! I know!

France! What's there no to like in France? Apart from the French language though. I did learn a bit of French while I was in college few years back but I'm suck in it that I quit studying it.. Haha!

The re-invent of the World War 1 (or was is WW 2?). Whichever it is, it was soooo cool - the re-invention not the war. On their way from Germany to France, the detectives kindda pissed off with Joe (the guy I don't like). And now I know why I don't like him - he is too over-confident. Confidence is good but too much of it, yikes, it's irritating.

Anyway, the detectives who were leading did the Blind U-turn on the couple and caused them to get eliminated as Joe and Heidi couldn't complete the task. Okay, it's true don't like Joe but he got that competitive spirit and to se him get eliminated this way is sooo unkind! I mean, interpreting Morse code, who could do that? I couldn't!

7 teams remaining, who would be eliminated next.....

Didi Benami Strikes Back!

I'm a fan of Didi Benami but I have to honestly say that her last 2 performances didn't really reach out to me. I mean, I am not voting but it just didn't work out.

BUT her last night performance on American Idol is superb! I think she is in the brink of elimination and she comes back! Yay! You go girl!!

Last Week Story

I'm posting about the American Idol..hehe! I know m a week late and the second elimination would be aired tonight but then better late then never, right? Hehe!

As all the American Idol fans out there had known, out of the 24 contestants, 2 girls and 2 guys were sent home last week - Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz and Tyler Grady.

I have to say, I was not pleased with some the eliminations. But then, the Americans had voted! If I have my say, Ashley and Joe would definitly still be in the show. I mean, they have it and I can think of some contestants that are more worst than those two.

But I gotta agree with Simon when he said that the girls are leading an inch (or something) than the guys. The girls are loud! Hehe!

Until tonight guys.....but don't expect me to update that soon...hehe!

My Selected Favourite Idol

I'm not used to be a big fan of American Idol and all these while I don't know - and don't want to know - what the fusses were all about. Oh! I know what is American Idol, World Idol, Malaysian Idol, Indonesian Idol and Singaporean Idol. Infact I was staying in Singapore when they started the first Singaporean Idol and I managed to watch few of the shows.

But this year is different. M basically hooked on American Idol. I watched all the audition shows up till they announced the 24 finalists and m ecstatic that all my favourites are in the top 24! Yay!

Yup, I did picked my favourites - 3 of them - Michael Lynch, Didi Benami and Crystal Bowersox! Each one of them has the superb voices I had ever heard and not once in their performances that they disappoint me. Of course there are lot more potential idols but well let's just say that m sticking up with these 3.

Each of them has their own life story. Michael Lynch was torn between his dream to sing and to be his wife who gave birth to their baby girl on the group day. I forgot what's the name of his baby girl but it sure is a beautiful name. Didi Benami went to the audition for the sake of her bestfriend, Rachael who passed away. Rachael was the one who encouraged her to follow her dream and who said that Didi is a great singer - which she is. Crystal Bowe rsox - I like her! She is so spunky (if there is such a word!). She is a young mother who carried her son's picture in her back pocket...everywhere, all the time!

Anyway, I can't hardly wait for their next week performances ;)
