Back to work!

Last Monday, I was officially back to work for the year 2011!

Yup! On the 17th day of the year 2011, only then I started to get back to my normal, usual, boring routine!

Monday,

it was raining which I LOVE!

When it is raining, some wise people turned on their lights

BUT what I don't love (when it rains) is that somehow I always ended behind following cars with no third brake light!!

Unlucky me!

Above are the 2 cars (out of 5) I managed to snap pictures on my way to work.

And you can imagine my difficulties in guessing whether it's just their lights or were they braking?

At the office, piles of paper works need to be attended

and as luck had it, I was needed somewhere in the afternoon hence leaving my works behind.

The duty roster for the whole year made me mad - literally!

So, my overall Monday didn't go that well!

Well, if you got a sense of humor, the sticker might be funny

but then it's kindda offensive too!

I'm not fat but for a woman, gosh! that's too harsh!

I'm not saying that I got no sense of humor (I DO) but that is just plain selfish!

I do hope one day the guy would fall head over heels with a fat chick.

Only then he would know how high the sky is!

Frustrating Wednesday Morning

This morning, I got the unfortunate luck 'meeting' an idiot and a very stupid person on the road. Yup, here I go again, blaming people for driving stupidly.

Around Beribi religious school area, just before the round about, I was driving in the right lane (coz I'm kindda late) and this Honda Stream was infront of me. The distance between him (the Honda Stream) and the car infront of him was like - what (I'm not good with adjusting meters and foot) - can fit 5 cars if the stretch of road is a parking area. Why I called him idiot for 2 reasons:

1. he's slow and he's taking the right lane
2. he accelerates and he brakes - EVERYTIME!! Accelerates a bit, brakes a bit; accelerates some more, brakes some more!

How idiotic that man is and no, he's not old! Maybe late 30ies! But by God, it frustrated the heck out of me! But I managed to 'lose' him somewhere after the roundabout!

Then, just after the big roundabout in Kiulap (yea! I know, Brunei so many roundabouts!), just after the SKH Kiulap and before the traffic light, I was driving on the left lane mainly because the right lane is no longer the faster lane! Everyone was driving at a turtle pace (now you know how frustrated I am!).

On the left lane, I saw a white Nissan Sunny (old and slow) infront of me so I kept my distance. Exactly on the traffic light, this stupid driver (not very stupid at that time yet!) braked immediately and made a signal to the right! Brake immediately!! and I have to brake immediately too! Luckily there is no car behind me or I can imagine what would happen!

Anyway, this stupid driver changed his/her (the driver was wearing a baseball cap so couldn't be sure the gender but looks like female) mind and didn't go to the right lane eventhought the driver got the opportunity. Then as we were nearing the traffic light going to Kiulap area, this driver AGAIN signaled intenting going to the right lane and when he/she did, I tried to pass him/her and you know what happened?? This VERY VERY VERY STUPID driver immediately changed his/her stupid mind again and wanted to go back into the left lane and nearly hit my car. I honked this person! I don't car no more! He/she nearly caused an accident with me!

When the stupid driver managed to get into the right lane, 2 cars behind me, I saw he/she signalled, indicating going into Kiulap area. The traffic light was red at that time and I was waiting, with vengence for this person but he/she just passed me by so fast - maybe due to guilt or without guilt at all!

Excuse me for using the word stupid repeatedly in this post but trust me, stupid is considered the 'kinder' word compared to the words I had in mind!

Basic Road Rules

1. In a two-way lane, if you are driving slow, please use the left lane
One afternoon, I was in a rush to get home - hungry, tired all roll into 1 - and on the buzy road of Jangsak, a car infront of me was cruising verrryyy slowly on the right lane. Because it was quiet jammed that afternoon, the left lane was occupied and this car, gosh! I think he was driving only 40-60km/hr ON A RIGHT LANE! To overtake, there are cars on the left lane. I tailgated him hoping for him to get the hint and move his stupid car's ass aside but he just won't take the hint. A slim opportunity arised and I overtook him; looked at him, happily chit-chatting with 3 of his buddies; gave him my best if-look-can-kill look and overtook him. Oh yea, this goes for you the guy in green Suzuki Vitara. Next time, if you want to take a cruise, take the left lane!

2. Signal when you want to overtake or enter a junction
Simple rule! It's either some people don't know the use of the signal light or they just couldn't be bothered! I hate it when people overtake without signalling. Or entering a junction without signalling. What's so hard with moving a bit of your fingers to push the signal indicator up/down!

3. Don't use the roundabout if your don't know how
Gosh! People who doesn't know how to use the roundabouts really really pissed me off! There are few roundabouts here in Brunei that have the traffic light. And believe me, it is more easier than the one without the traffic light.

Green means go. That's the universal colour of traffic light all over the world but some idiots who used the traffic light roundabout still being ignorance about the traffic light. I know some drivers, when the light turns greean, it took him minimum 5-10 seconds to press the accelerator.

That's all for now but mind you, this topic will resurface again and again, whenever m frustrated with other drivers. Haha!
