Somehow, m hooked to this song. 20 minutes on my way to work this morning, I played this song over and over again and that same goes with 40 minutes (plus the traffic cause by an accident) on my way home.

White gold ring in a wedding finger

I rarely wear a ring when m working coz in my line of duty, it's kindda hard to keep a ring secure. But today, I wore my white gold ring and I wore it at my wedding finger. Then a regular patient came to the clinic and he said to me, "eh, berseri-seri jua" and me, never take anything serious, just said, " awu, andangnya". I never thought that he misunderstod me. Then his next question surprise me. "Bila majlisnya?" ERK!!! hahaha! He thought that m getting married!!!

Geez! It's kindda hard nowdays to wear a nice white gold ring without someone thought u r attached! Is that y guys gave me the dissapointed look?? Damn! I should ring-less starting tomorrow....ahakZZZ!!!

Hitler Video

A couple of weeks back, 2 of my youngest brothers were talking about this video that made them laughing so hard. I ignored them and the video at that time eventhough they kept on insisting that I should watch it. It's not until recently when I was surfing using my brother's laptop that I came across the video. I posted it here. I honestly have no idea whose video is it but whoever did this, it's a work of genius. Enjoy! P.s strictly only for Bruneians who know malay...hehe!

Swine, Swine and more Swine....

Wednesday, June 24, 2009
Today, we got a verbal order from the upper management for all the staffs of Department of Pharmaceutical Services (and I think all of MoH) not to leave the country. With the increasing number of swine flu cases in Brunei, MoH is now on high alert and extra precautions had been made! As of today, 8 reported cases had been confirmed. As it happened it to be, I know 2 of the patients. May they be strong going thru' all these, InsyaAllah.

For the public out there, please be noted that the Influenza A vaccine does not protect you against Swine flu. Influenza A vaccine which is currently available in Brunei is only to protect you from seasonal flu but NOT for swine flu, bird flu and such. I know everyone is kindda panicking at the moment. Today alone, my dispensary direct line received more than 10 phone calls inquiring about the vaccine. And I'm sorry that neither any of us can help you. The only thing we can help you is to give you the Vaccination Centre phone number and hopefully they can answer any questions you have in mind.

In the meantime, please take extra precautions. Avoid travelling out of the country if you can. And please, go and seek medical treatment if you are unwell. It's good to be 'kiasiu' once in a while. And for parents out there, avoid bringing your children to the clinics/hospitals if they are not sick. Bear in mind that, they COULD be exposed to the danger.

Let's pray for this flu to be over soon, InsyaAllah.

Too Many Things To Do, So Little Time.....

With the short break from the KKC-thingy, at the moment I have a lil' bit of breathing space but somehow I can't breath that well. Few weeks of meetings, meetings and meetings, now I have to catch up with my daily+routine work. And wow, aren't they just keep on piling up?! It's almost coming to the end of the half year and so many reports to do, drug usages to calculate and enter into the database. At the moment, m taking a break from doing my ordering which is quiet urgent coz either I do it now or my dispensary would run out of drugs! Haha! Which would be chaotic with what's happening at the moment!

KKC

I got a new term for KKC. The original phrase would be Kumpulan Kerja Cermerlang but then I think I would refer it as kerja kemudian capek (work then tired) coz that's what I was feeling for the last few weeks. The submission of the final report was last Monday and I was having my seasonal sinusitis. I took a tablespoonful of linctus and by 6PM, I was in lala land....

With the report out of the way, our next agenda would be the close session with the judges somewhere early July and the national competition would be in August. With months of non-stop meetings, I really need a break! NO! I DESERVE a break!

Went to Ka Zuby's sis-in-law, Rozi's wedding today with my BFF. She fetched me in her new 'mini copper' =) Have to say, the ride is so pleasurable. Besides, apa yg not great with being kana driverkan? Hehe. Arrived at the OGH around 11.25am..hehe semangat kami ah! Luckily Ka Zuby reserved a table for us but unfortunately, it can't fit Siti and Chan. Met Ka Hjh Norazlin there w the mum. Didn't linger that long. We left as soon as the bride and groom entered the ballroom.

Will upload the pictures nanti ;)

BFF

Lunch time yesterday, I was caught in the act. No! I didn't do anything kinky or anything equivalent to that. Me and my BFF had a heart-to-heart talk and honestly, I didn't expect it at all. She txted me early Friday morning (as in 1+ am) and I knew something is wrong but I can't put my fingers on it. So, yesterday, terkejut beruk ku eh! Haha.

But m glad we had that talk. We rarely talked about 'this' thing or shall I say never. For her, to come up to me and talk to me about this, makes me loves her more! Somehow, you just never realise what a beautiful and faithful a friendship could be and for me, to discover that with her, I have to say it's the most beautiful thing that happened to me.

M8! Loving you to bits!! Can't wait to celebrate our annivesary together!

Dear Nose, Please Stop Running

Friday, June 12, 2009
M having my sinusitis again! Urgghhh! I think m allergic to my rabbits. Allergic to fur? Nakkan jua. Cuddling c lampoh (the cat) endlessly for the past 9 years, not as bad as now. I was feeding them (the rabbits) this morning, had a meeting in a cool, air-conditioning room, finished in the middle of the noon and went out under the hot weather; that what must trigger my runny nose....

School Holiday, KK and Weddings

School holiday starts again this Monday. For the last couple of days, the traffic in the morning is less stressful =) and you can feel the holiday mood looming around already. As usual, KK (short for Kota Kinabalu) is always the favourite destination for parents to bring their kids for the holiday. My elder brother took off for KK this morning with his family and his in-law families and i know 2 of my uncles would be going there too soon.

Weddings are also top of the list on things to do during school holiday. 2 weeks school holiday, I already got 2 wedding invitations. 1 would be this weekend.

Happy Feet...and Hand

Spent 2 hours of my friday afternoon pampering my hand and feet. It had been a while I didn't do meni and pedicure so today, out of the blue, I felt like rewarding myself for all the hard work my hand and feet had done for me...hehe. My feet for making me walk faster and my hand for the endless writing. Besides I get a good bargain. Menicure, pedicure and massage for both hand and feet for $20. Couldn't get any better than that and I have to say, the lady did a good job.

Me on top of Bukit Laur, in between Tasek and Markucing

The journey took placed 3 weeks ago. The 5 of us went again except Hj Tahir didn't come this time. Instead Salehan came with us. We decided that this would be a return journey so we didn't park any car in Markucing. We all gathered at Tasek as early as 6.30am. The round trip took us 3 hours and along those hike, mum and dad called me more than 5 times *yikes* just to ask whether I could make it return. If I couldn't make it, they would fetch me in Markucing. Weh!!! Nda siuk f half way sja so told them, I would definitly make it....which was barely! Fewhh! I made it back but not without aching muscles all over! For that 1 week, I was walking like a robot....hehe but hati puas!!!

Sekadar Renungan...

Di dalam hidup manusia, yang penting ialah BERKAT
Bila hidup kita berkat, diri ini akan selamat
Apabila diri selamat, rumahtangga jadi sepakat
Apabila rumahtangga jadi sepakat, masyarakat jadi muafakat
Apabila masyarakat jadi muafakat, negara kita menjadi kuat
Apabila negara menjadi kuat, negara luar jadi hormat
Apabila negara luar jadi hormat, permusuhan pun tersekat.
Apabila permusuhan tersekat, pembangunan pun meningkat.
Apabila pembangunan pun meningkat, kemajuan menjadi pesat.
TETAPI AWAS, apabila pembangunan meningkat, kemajuan menjadi pesat, kita lihat bangunan naik bertingkat-tingkat.
Ditengah-tengah itu, tempat maksiat tumbuh macam kulat.
Apabila tempat-tempat maksiat tumbuh macam kulat, KETIKA ITU manusia mula mengubah tabiat.
Apabila manusia telah mengubah tabiat, ada yang jadi lalat ada yang jadi ulat.
Apabila manusia dah jadi ulat, sembahyang makin hari makin liat.
Apabila sembahyang jadi liat, orang baik ada yang bertukar jadi jahat.
Apabila orang baik bertukar jahat, orang miskin pula nak kaya cepat.
Apabila orang miskin nak kaya cepat, orang tua pula nak mati lambat.
Apabila orang tua nak mati lambat, tak dapat minum madu telan jerla minyak gamat.
Yang lelaki, budak budak muda pakai seluar ketat. Semua nak tunjuk kuat.
Bila berjudi, percaya unsur kurafat. Tapi hidup pula yang melarat.
Tali kasut dah tak berikat. Rambut pun jarang sikat.
Yang perempuan, pakai mini sekerat. Suka pakai baju ketat. S
uka sangat menunjukkan pusat. Hingga tak pedulikan lagi batasan aurat.
Pakai pulak yang singkat-singkat. Kadang-kadang ternampak benda 'bulat'.
Bila jadi macam ini, siapa lihat pasti tercegat.
Silap gaya jadi gawat, bohsia bohjan lagi hebat.
Duduk jauh berkirim surat . Bila berjumpa, tangan berjabat.
Kemudian pakat lawan peluk siapa erat.
Masa tu, nafas naik sampai tersekat-sekat.
Usah peduli agama dan adat. Usah takut Allah dan malaikat.
Yang penting apa kita nak buat? Kita 'bukti' lah kita buat.
Akhirnya perut kempis dah jadi bulat.
Apabila perut kempis dah jadi bulat, maka lahirlah pula anak-anak yang tak cukup sifat.
Bila anak-anak tak cukup sifat, jam tu kita tengok bayi dibuang di merata tempat.
MAKNANYA KETIKA ITU, IBLIS MULA MELOMPAT.
Dia kata apa? Habis manusia dah masuk jerat. Habis manusia telah tersesat.

Petikan ucapan Ustaz Hj. Akil Hayy Rawa. Sebarkanlah ini kepada ahli keluarga, saudara-mara, rakan-rakan dan sahabat handai kita agar masyarakat kita akan menjadi sebuah masyarakat yang bukan sahaja maju dari segi duniawi malah ukhrawi. Insya-Allah......Allahhuakbar Allahhuakbar! Allahhuakbar!

Me and my so-called adventures ;)

Sunday, March 22, 2009
I know it's been AGESSS I didn't update my blog but no worries, m still alive! With wat's going on with my life lately, socialy and workwise, it had been hectic hence my absenties from updating my blog. So manyyyyy things happened in my life lately, most of them memorable and well, some of them not so. I tried not to think of the not-so-memorable thingy but then hey, you can't just escape from them. It's part of life anyway! Just have to face it and live with it.

There was the flood thingy that hit some part of Brunei; my place included! I didn't go for work the first time our place got hit by the flood and the second time, well, I was on leave hence I spent my 'holiday' trapped at home, watching nothing but the TV. Well, one good thing
is that I catch up with what's happening in the TV world. I seldom watched TV so the 2 days spent at home was kindda worthwhile jua by watching TV...haha!

Not so pleasent...hmmm...an x-bf of mine msged and told me he got married. My reaction? SHOCK! I mean, nda angin
, nda ribut, he just texted me he got married. He texted me AFTER he got married. Macam....WHAT??? I thought we are (were) friends and that's how a friend treated you?? OUCH! That hurts!!! 2 of my friends said that if I don't have any feelings for my x, I wouldn't be mad. So what? I still have a feeling for him??? Imagine, you have a friend, whom you THOUGHT you are close to. He/she got married and he didn't even tell you. How would you feel?? I'm not the type of person to feel offended very easily but when I do (feel offended) trust me, you won't like me for it! This is the second time it happened. Few years back, while I was doing my inservice in Singapore, a 'close' friend of mine got married and she didn't even send me an invitation. Her reason: I was in Singapore and I won't be able to come to her wedding, so why waste an invitation card, right? It hurts and till now, I never really get over it. Ever heard the phrase, it takes a second to like someone, takes a minute to love that someone and takes ages to forget that someone? Oh well, in my case, it's easy to forget me. Hey! I don't mind! Get married all you guys like. Don't bother to tell me. I won't come anyway!!! There......all my frustration vent up, lets move on!

Let's go to pleasant things. Early February, I dared myself to ride a bike; a rider! Of course, m not the one riding it. A friend of mine owns a Kawasak
i rider and he offered to give me a ride. It was so damned cool and exhilarating!! It was my first time riding a bike and man....nyanyat kali ah! hahaha! but my first ride cost me my hp! I placed my hp in my pocket and somehow, alone the ride, my hp fell and the screen berkecai seribu....but nothing beats the ride ;)

2 Fridays ago, I was working and after work, me and a friend went to watch the 'Watchmen'. Truth to be told, it's not as I was expected! I thought that it would be an extraordinary movie (fro
m the reviews) but it was not. Came home around 2am feeling dissapointed but it's okay la....at least the company (my friend) is good...hehe! 2 weeks ago also, I met up with my two cheeky engineer-friends - Jason and Mimin! The last time I saw them both was last raya when they came to my place. They fetched me at home and we just hang out, the 3 of us! I don't know what the heck we talked about but we just talked, talked and talked or as Jason and Mimin said 'argued, argued and argued' (coz we 2 of them, I don't want to lose my side of discussion) and it ended up with Mimin send me home at 1am!!! Hahaha! What a crazy Saturday night!

d'3 of us

Me and Mimin

Me and Jason (2nd shot - he said I didn't smile)

Me and Jason (1st shot)

Me and Mimin...again
Last Saturday night, my plan was staying at home watching the first AF concert and the match between Manchester United and Liverpool. Half way thru' the match and the concert, my friend bawa jln. Frustrated with the score of the first half, I went out. Jln2, the match finished and Liverpool won! Boring eh! The fans at the Red Canopy Foodcourt d'Qlap hotel all dissapointed while my elder bro, who is a big fan of Liverpool, who watched the match in Le Stadium was so excited. Princess Sarah was also there. He showed me the prove by taking group photos with her...hmmmm! Jason and Mimi, who are big fans of Liverpool, both messaged me,just to tease the heck out of me....nda apa..! Sabar Iantie...sabar! Hahaha! Frust with the result, my friend brought me to watch movie and we ended up watching 'Race to Witch Mountain' in Empire. Came home 2am...again! Hahaha!

The next day, Mimin asked me to accompany him to 'start over'. Only the three of us knows what's happening...I think. Anyway, Jason was working and Mimin was on leave so it's just me and Mimin. He fetched me around 1pm and we went bowling.....yea! I never play bowling before and I never touch a bowling ball before but for a begineer, I won the game beating Mimin.....which I won't let him forget!! Whaha! We agreed to compete for another game soon...with Jason coming too...the more, the merrier...hehe! Came home at 5pm.

Daneil, my best male friend came and fetched me at home around 6.30pm and I accompanied him to buy/get his badminton stuffs before we went and watched a movie. Last weekend, it was a very long day for me!! But hey, it's the only time I cannot think of work! So tired thinking of work, I deserve a break...

Most of my afterwork activities are filled with hiking at Tasek and last week, me and a friend saw this new sign, leading to Bukit Markucing in Subok. Told him that we need to try that track. So last Friday, 2 days ago, me and the guys embarked on a new adventure. We plan to hike the trail from Tasek to Bukit Markucing in Subok. We agreed to meet at Tasek at 3.30pm. My brother, Andy when he heard that I'm going to Markucing from Tasek, he wanted to follow too. So, the 5 of us started our journey from the pondok at Tasek at 4+pm, half and hour late from the planned time (ehem...gara2 nunggu a friend yg lambat..hehe). The track was okay, ada some part very slippery but it was managable but it was soooooooo quiet. I feel like we were in the real jungle (which it is)! Along the way, we only met 2 men. It was raining and yes, we were caught in the rain but it was not that bad. I dunno whether my shirt was wet from the rain or from the sweat but it was so satisfying! When we were halfway thru' we reached this peak and it was so gratifying and the view.....wow! It's unbelievable! I still couldn't believe that I reach that peak...It feels like a dream. We completed the hike within 1hour 40mins - one way from Tasek to Markucing. By the time we came down the Markucing, it was almost 6pm. Luckily one of the guys parked his car in Markucing and he sent us back to Tasek. Next on agenda, Bukit Shahbandar Bukit 17.....can't wait!

Ghafor and Bro Andy

Ghafor and Me - 2KM gone, 1.746KM to go

'0.000KM ke Bukit Markucing' we made it!

New Year, Work and Everything Else

Friday, January 9, 2009
Been a while I didn't update my blog. New year had been buzy and so far, m managing okay! How I spent my new year? I took a flight out on the last day of the 2008 to Kota Kinabalu where my parents and my 2 youngest brothers were waiting for me there. I took a half day off that day and my brother, Andy sent me to the airport around 3PM. Luckily I checked in early and managed to get a seat nearest to the exit coz it was a full flight. It was a short flight, about 25 minutes. I only brought a totte bag with me and the stewardess asked me to place my bag on the overhead compartment. When we landed, it took me some efforts to get my bag down. I thought with my high heels I would manage to get my bag but unfortunately, the truth is, even with my 3 inch heels, I still couldn't reach my bag. Out of nowhere, a male's hand reached over and got my bag for me. Turned out, it's the guy sitting in the opposite aisle. I noticed him plng before but then me, being me, just mind my own business. I said my thanx to him and we went our separate ways.

We were staying at the Courtyard hotel in 1Borneo and the journey from the airport to the hotel is about 20-30 minutes in which we were stuck in the traffic jam. Arrived at the hotel around 7PM and soon after settled in, aimed with my comfortable slipper, all of us started to walk thru' the 1Borneo. The building is amazing but suprisingly, it's kindda quiet there. I think less people going there due to the standard and the distance. I can see more of the Bruneians than the local. But hey, m not complaining...at least that gave me some space to do window shopping and shopping...hehe!

The shops close at 10PM hence my shopping for that night is limited and I only managed to buy a pair of urs & inc's shoe which cost me.....errrmmmm...now, I don't remember the price (haha! just avoiding the truth of how much m willing to pay for a pair of shoe)! anyway, m quiet happy for my purchase! Bought some snacks then me and my brothers retired to our room. Equipped with a wireless connection in the room and with our laptop, while waiting for the new year, me and my bros went ssuurrrfffiinnnggg! Mostly, it's my bros did the surfing while me, tired for work in the morning, went under the cover with the intention to 'get a rest' but turned out, I feel asleep...haha! Talked about greeting in the new year! Haha!

Next day, dad woke us up and we had our breakfast at the hotel's lounge..cool place! After breakfast, we jln-jln around the 1Borneo but most of the shops were not opened yet so we decided to go to the city area. We went to Wisma Merdeka. Me and my bros decided to cut our hairs so we went to this saloon. My youngest bro, Muiz decided to do a simple cut and a highlight while my younger bro, Faiz decided to just cut his hair and me, ehem, I decided to rebond my hair and no cutting. And believe me, this time it took longer than before. We were there around 12PM and my bros were done within 1-2 hours while for me, I was sitting in that chair for 6-freaking-hours!! I finished rebonding my hair around 6PM, 2 hours after the shop closed! I was the only customer left behind! Hahaha! Gila eh! I was so tired, hungry and macam-macam! I didn't expect it to be that long! Fewwhhh! My last rebonding experience here in Brunei only took me 4 hours and even that, I couldn't stand it. That's why I did my hair only when I got the free time - which rarely I have nowdays! Hehe!

We had our dinner near the seaside that night and after that we went back to the 1Borneo and after shower (with my hair covered), me and my bros started to shop again! Haha! Kaki shopping! Managed to buy few more pairs of shoes/sandles and I don't even remember what else I bought...hehe! We went home the next day coz I had to get back to work the following Saturday. We went off from the hotel around 9.45AM and we only stopped to buy fuel. Mahal eh fuel di Malaysia. No wonder many Malaysians wanted to buy fuel di Brunei. Anyway, we arrived Limbang around 3PM and with heavy rain, we stopped to eat belated lunch and we que-ed up around 4PM and wow! it was a long que. Not the longest, I heard but still, 2 hours doing nothing but to sit, to eat, to joke, to read and to sleep is kindda bored! We managed to come home around 6.30PM!! So exhausted! Eventhough my dad drove all the way from KK to Brunei, I was so tired! I think my dad knew I would be tired so he didn't ask me to drive coz he is also on leave.

As soon as we came home, my dad's uncle (kira me grandpa la tu) called to tell that my grandma (my dad's mum) is sick. She complains to pain along the left arm and my grandpa told my dad to bring her to the hospital for check up. So, I had my shower and went straight to kg - my grandma is staying with my aunt. I tried to pujuk my grandma to come with me to the clinic but being an old lady, I can't compete with her stubborness! She was having 'urititis' aka beruri! Having diabetes and hypertension, she was so scared that the doctor will ward her or add more medications. So I gave up and just advised her on cutting down the sugary and the salty foods..I visited her again last Sunday and she's getting better dah, Alhamdullilah!

Work-wise, I managed to finish all the drug usages for the year 2008 and submitted it last Tuesday. At least that's out of my mind, I can now concentrate on my ordering. But starting next week, I need to stay back and do all the entry into the database....aaiiiii...work never end! Last-last, I would become workholic jua nie eh! Hmmm...

I went for hiking at Tasek last Wednesday and yesterday. This time, I didn't go alone. Last Wednesday, I went with a friend and yesterday, my friend's friend brought him to hike the Marakucing and my friend brought me along. Iski ku udah kan hike the Marakucing but unfortunatly, it was drizzling that afternoon and the 3 of us went to Tasek instead. It was fun but for an infrequent hiker like myself, it took me a great effort to finish the hike. Luckily I got a cheerleader who cheer me all the way...haha :P

Last night, it's the siblings outting. Me, my brother after me, Andy, Faiz and Muiz went out and just hang out! My other brother, Adi didn't come along coz he had to work overtime. We went out around 9.30PM and it was raining quiet heavily. We went to Qlap and our intention was to watch a movie but there is no interesting movie at the moment. We already watched Bedtime Stories, Yes Man, Twilight, IP Man, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Wild Child.....so, what movie to watch?? Batah-batah d Qlap Mall thinking, we went to the Mall. 3 of us planning to watch Histeria but Andy doesn't want to watch it. You thought that being in the army would make him tough but I think I'm wrong...hahaha! Ended up we went to McDonald, eat and chat! Came home around 12midnight!

This morning, I woke up early to send my car for servicing and while waiting, I went shopping.....again! Bini-bini tah banar! Haha! When we came back from KK, I sdaid to myself, no more shopping for this month but eventually that doesn't work for me..haha! I ended up buying another bag....berapa banyak bag la?? haha!!

Anyway, after this, banar nie, m not going for shopping no more. Done! for this month! Hehe! I will stay at home for today and will start do my ordering...hehe!

This weekend, I gotta attend my aunt's sister-in-law's wedding. And I still haven't decide for next weekend - whether to attend the Annual Pharmacy Gathering (APG) which would be held in Tutong or to attend my chinese cousin's wedding in Rizqun hotel. I already paid to attend the APG and my parents already RSVP the whole family for the wedding!! Errrkkk! Yang mana satu nie?? I can skip either one plang but the thing is, I don't know which 1 to skip...hehe! The APG this year sounds so fun - it's the 70's theme and we the community staffs already were thinking to wear the 70's outfits and some of us willing to wear wigs (haha! excluding me!) while the wedding, errrmmm, do I need to say, it's family's function. Bida jua usulnya to skip....uurgghhhh...mcmana ah?? Oh well, I think about it when the time comes...haha! Udah atu!

Cheers! Happy New Year Everyone!
